The full Willow Lake Loop is a 5.2-mile trail is relatively flat, making the hike comfortable for families with young children. There are serval smaller loops such as Willow Creek Spur and the Willow Lake West Loop, that are great for the little ones. The Willow Lake West Loop is a 1.2-mile loop trail. Generally considered an easy route, it takes an average of 23 min to complete. This trail is great for hiking and running, and it’s unlikely you’ll encounter many other people while exploring. The trail features beautiful views of the Willow Lake, Granite Dells, and surrounding mountains. Families can enjoy a variety of outdoor activities, including birdwatching, fishing, and picnicking. The trail is mostly flat and winds along the scenic Watson Lake. The trail is an excellent opportunity for families to spot wildlife and enjoy beautiful views of the lake. The trail is accessible year-round and is dog-friendly. This is one of the few Rails to Trails projects in Arizona. There are outstanding views of Watson Lake and Granite Dells, as well as, wildlife viewing. Walk, hike, bike or horseback along this trail that was originally built by the Santa Fe Railway in 1893. The Peavine connects with the Iron King Trail for another four mile trek along more railroad bed.
Lynx Lake Loop

Lynx Lake Loop is an easy 2.6-mile trail that features views of the beautiful Lynx Lake. The trail is perfect for families who enjoy fishing, as the lake is stocked with trout. This is an excellent walk or hike in the morning before the heat. The west side is easier and mostly paved. The east side is a trail where strollers will not fit. It is nice scenery with pretty views and lots to explore.
